Public transportation in Vienna and Austria
Wiener Linien (Public transport in Vienna):
There is the possibility to purchase a student ticket each semester for 150 €, which is valid for all public transportation within Vienna during the semester. If your main residence is in Vienna you only pay 75 €. If you are 26 years or older you can not buy this ticket anymore. Alternatively, you can purchase an annual ticket for 365 € which is also valid for all public transportation within Vienna.
ÖBB (Public transport in Austria):
If you want to travel in Austria, you can use the ÖBB. Find more information about tickets, etc. on their website. For everyone younger than 26: With the "Vorteilscard Jugend" (19 €/year), you can travel by train at discounted rates.
